Wind Energy farm in Gopalpura, Karnataka, India
This small scale wind project mitigates Greenhouse gas emissions through generation of renewable energy by 10 windmills of 1.5 MW of output in the district of Karnataka, India. The project activity reduces an estimate of 32,797 tons of CO2 annually by replacing 34,821 MWh of fossil fuel power with wind generated energy.
This wind project fulfils two sustainable development goals (SDGs) that contribute to giving access to affordable and sustainable energy for the communities in the area and generating employment opportunities and economic growth in the region.
